Training Budgeting and Costing


Comprehensive costing and budgeting enhancements for LearnerWeb Enterprise is now available.

LWE (LearnerWeb Enteprise) has been enhanced to support up to 10 cost and budget fields. As training is assigned to a user either from a training requirement matrix or an individual development plan, a budget record is also cut to the database. Budgeting and costing can be used independantly or together.

If costing is used, the manager or administrator can input costs per training record. Costs can also be input through a grid interface which simulates data entry that would take place in a spreadsheet.

Managers can define budgets by user or by course with analysis and comparisons across all budget fields. Budget records tied to a training or competency requirement roll all cost information associated to the requirement. If a person takes several courses to satisfy the budget requirement, all cost records are used in the calculation of total costs compared to the budget.

Budget and cost fields are user definable in labeling and number of fields to use. For example, you may only need to use two budget/cost fields such as Planned and Misc. Another client wants to use: Training Cost, Travel, Materials, Per Diem and Warm Clothing.

All data is available for export into accounting or other database systems for analysis and further processing.

Budgeting and costing can be integrated to the LearnerWeb Enterprise Workflow engine for approvals and process control. Most likely some professional services will apply to implement.
