Everyone who has access to Ability LMS is a Learner regardless any other roles they may have. To keep things simple, we pre-configured Ability LMS with four of the most common roles (also known as security profiles): Learner, Trainer, Manager and Administrator. Administrators can easily add more if needed or remove ones not used.
Roles are used to determine what features and tools are available to a particular person. Learners typically just need to be able to launch a course, see what courses are assigned to them, which ones are coming due and have access to additional resources such as web links, PDFs and videos. Each role can also have a custom dashboard, making it easy for everyone to use Ability LMS.
